The article discusses how that despite all the money, time and resources organizations spend to protect against malware, they aren’t preventing attacks. Today, an average ransomware incident lasts about 16 days. If a business succumbs to the threat and a ransom is paid, they get a decryption key or tool to recover the data. This requires technical resources to track down and decrypt every hacked device, leading to more downtime and lost productivity. And, by the way, paying the ransom doesn’t guarantee they get their data back. A report from 2016 found that roughly 19% of businesses that paid the ransom after a breach did not regain access to its data. Worse yet, organizations face the same risk with future attacks. These types of hidden changes are typically left behind by endpoint security solutions because they have no knowledge of what a good previous state should be and are not designed to deal with them. In the past, the only way forward to fully clean the computer would be to do a bare metal restore or to reinstall everything from scratch. NeuShield’s One-Click Restore feature is designed to address this shortcoming. Read More: Blog >> To learn more and receive a free trial and demo of NeuShield please contact info@neushield.com
