OpenClaw Bypassing EDR: A Growing Blind Spot

‌‌Recent research highlights a concerning trend where OpenClaw-based agent workflows can bypass traditional security controls like EDR, DLP, and IAM without triggering alerts.

‌This creates what researchers describe as “semantic attacks,” where malicious intent is hidden in meaning rather than code. Because the actions are performed using valid tokens and approved processes, traditional detection mechanisms fail to recognize anything unusual.

Additional concerns include cross-agent context leakage, where a single prompt injection can propagate across multiple agents, and weak trust models between agents that lack proper authentication. Security experts warn that OpenClaw should be treated as untrusted code execution, capable of accessing sensitive data, executing external code, and persisting attacker-controlled instructions over time.

NeuShield Wins Global InfoSec Award at RSAC 2026

NeuShield has been recognized as a winner in the Global InfoSec Awards at RSAC 2026, earning the “Best Ransomware Data Security Solution” award from Cyber Defense Magazine.

The recognition highlights NeuShield’s innovative approach to ransomware protection through its Mirror Shielding technology. Unlike traditional solutions that focus on detection or backup recovery, NeuShield protects data directly by preventing unauthorized encryption and maintaining access even if attackers bypass perimeter defenses.

This model reflects a broader shift in cybersecurity strategy, where organizations assume compromise and focus on resilience. NeuShield’s approach allows businesses to recover systems within minutes and reduces the leverage attackers rely on in modern ransomware and extortion campaigns.

FastCompany: 4 New Ways to Survive the Ransomware Battle

Ransomware has become the background noise of modern business. It hums along in the distance until the moment it doesn’t. Then it’s loud, expensive, and personal.

Every year brings new attack variants, new headlines, and new promises from security vendors that this time the problem is finally solved. It never is.

Ransomware can’t be fully stopped. Not because security teams are lazy or tools are ineffective, but because the problem itself has changed shape. Ransomware adapts faster than any single defensive layer can respond.

Traditional ransomware defenses focus on detection and prevention, monitoring code execution and known malicious patterns. The defenses look for suspicious behavior and try to stop it before damage occurs.

The goal can’t simply be to stop every attack. The goal must be to ensure that attacks do not permanently harm an organization. That shift requires new anti-ransomware resources and a new way of thinking about endpoint data security. A more resilient strategy puts data at the center.
