New product release features

This past month we released a new update of NeuShield Data Sentinel. This update comes with a number of fixes and features. The two most important features are Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and Revision History.

2FA is now supported for the NeuShield Portal using Time-based One-time Password (TOTP). The Portal allows up to 3 different authenticators.

On the client side a new view, called Revision History, is now available to allow users to clearly see what’s on the overlay and a list of Data Engrams available for specific files.

NeuShield featured in World Journal

This month NeuShield was featured in World Journal, which is one of the largest Chinese speaking newspapers in the United States.

The article discusses how rebuilding damaged operating systems can be done with some loss of time and money, but once the mission critical data is lost, business may not be able to continue operating, and there may be legal repercussion. It continues, stating that NeuShield’s Mirror Shielding technology will not try to detect and block threats one by one like traditional anti-virus software, but instead protects important data to prevent threat modification.

Forbes: Mitigating Downtime And Avoiding Ransom Payments From Breaches

Ransomware is a primary attack focus, comprising nearly one-third of all cybersecurity incidents. 2020 saw an uptick in ransomware attacks, which increased by 150% compared to the previous year, while the average amount of ransom money paid to hackers increased 300%. I believe we can fully expect this trend to continue.
