The article states that despite the multitude of network perimeter and endpoint security solutions, cyberattacks like the attack on the Colonial Pipeline continue on a regular basis. It’s been a difficult year for companies on the receiving end of these attacks. Ransomware is a primary attack focus, comprising nearly one-third of all cybersecurity incidents. 2020 saw an uptick in ransomware attacks, which increased by 150% compared to the previous year, while the average amount of ransom money paid to hackers increased 300%.
